Wendy Moten’s 2020 album ‘I’ve Got You Covered’ found the singer putting her own spin on songs by Bobbie Gentry, Cindy Walker, and Ernest Tubb, along with Tammy Wynette’s “Til I Get It Right.” She performed the latter at the ‘From Where I Stand” concert.
Darius Rucker performed a version of Charley Pride’s “Kiss an Angel Good Mornin'” during his set at the Hall of Fame, as well as his version of “Wagon Wheel” and his debut country single, “Don’t Think I Don’t Think About It.”
Hubby Jenkins, formerly of the Carolina Chocolate Drops, plays the banjo at the “From Where I Stand” concert at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum’s CMA Theater.
Blanco Brown once talked to Rolling Stone about his undeniable attraction to country music. “People wanted to try to make me choose rap/trap music, or singing R&B, over country,” he said. “It couldn’t happen.”
Cowboy Troy was one of the founding members of the Muzik Mafia with Big & Rich and Gretchen Wilson. At the “From Where I Stand” concert, he revived his signature song, “I Play Chicken With the Train.”
The War and Treaty have become reliable showstoppers whenever they grace the stage. They brought the house down at the Hall of Fame with their interpretation of Don Gibson’s “I Can’t Stop Loving You.”
“I’m happy with my little legacy. I’ve touched some people along the way, so my life is good,” singer-songwriter Miko Marks once told Rolling Stone. Part of that legacy is her song “It Feels Good,” now included on the ‘From Where I Stand’ box set.

“Don’t need no kin from West Virginia to have it in ya/Show the world you’re a country girl,” Rissi Palmer sang onstage at the Hall of Fame during her performance of her song “Country Girl.”

The concert ended with an all-star singalong of “Will the Circle Be Unbroken,” sending the capacity crowd out on a euphoric high.
